Small company with great people. Great work life balance. Company is still going through growing pains with not much advancement opportunities.

Mattersight mixes tech, personality and analytics. We have innovative products, a fast paced environment, top notch company culture and is an awesome place to work. We're fortunate to have so many incredible employees that embrace challenges on a daily basis. The company is growing rapidly which can pose some bandwidth issues but people are rewarded for their effort.

Growing Technology Company,
Implementation Manager (Current Employee) –  Chicago, ILFebruary 13, 2015
Mattersight (formerly eLoyalty) has been around for over two decades, however it is only in the past year that some of their new products have fueled strong growth with big logos signing up for pilots and subscriptions.

Like many companies that grow quickly, Mattersight is in the middle of a slightly awkward adolescent phase as they attempt to restructure teams and policies in a scalable way. This can result in frustrating lack of support or communication at times. There can also be a "old guard" mentality with senior staff that have worked with the company 10+ years being resistant to new ways of doing things or working with new people.

Of course, the upside of a growing company is the exciting challenges and opportunities that come with it. It feels good to know there is a strong market interested in the tools you are building or deploying. While I have not seen a great deal of upward mobility in my time here, expansion presumably means positions will become available.

Developers are based in Austin, Data Center Operations in Minneapolis, and Business/Leadership in Chicago. They're likely to upgrade offices within the Chicago Loop area in Q2/Q3. They sponsor happy hours and events a few times a quarter.

In conclusion: could be better, could be worse.
