Customer Service Representative, Peoria, IL - June 8, 2017
I worked in customer service. So I answered the phone when either customers called in or retailers called in. Customers would call in with help placing orders or they broke their sunglasses. Retailers would call in to place orders or ask questions about the glasses. Your calls are HEAVILY monitored on an option-based grading system. You have monthly meetings to go over how you are doing, which I have found out the hard way, even if those are good, that doesn't necessarily mean that you're doing well. You also have a bi-weekly quiz that you have to complete that keep you in check with policies and procedures. You must have a monthly average of 95% to meet their requirements and it's a 20 question quiz. The pay is above average and the medical benefits are FANTASTIC, and includes free dental and vision. They often cater lunch in and during the summer it's a scheduled once a week type thing. The parties that they have include free alcohol and will reimburse your taxi ride home.
