Maverick Funding is a very personal, productive, and professional mortgage experience for its employees and borrowers (customers).
You don't feel like you are working for a faceless corporate juggernaut that sacrifices consistent customer service for the sake of the bottom line for the company.
As an employee I like the balance between handling the business development, sales, and customer service for my borrowers personally. If there is a concern of any kind I am directly involved in the process every step of the way and it is easy for me to access the other employees handling the loan in house as well. There is good response time in getting back to borrowers.
During a typical day as a sales person I generate sales via telephone or in person. I submit my new business information via computer software and personally deliver pertinent information to the person that processes my loan applications in house and follow up with my borrowers for documents or additional information necessary to complete the sale and the loan. I call and check on borrowers that are already in process to update them on the progress of their loans, and I finalize details with borrowers that are about to close and finish their loans as well. Management is attentive and easy to access when they are needed.
I have learned that this attention to detail and level of consistent communication is crucial to having success in the mortgage field.
Sometimes the intimacy of the employment environment can be tough at times if someone is having a bad day, but that's what can be expected with a small number of employees versus working for a bigger company. I have worked for bigger mortgage companies in the past and I prefer this environment.
That being said, I feel that the company is very professional and I have learned a great deal as a mortgage professional working for Maverick Funding Corporation. I have had a great opportunity to be successful here and I have taken advantage of the opportunity knowing that not every mortgage company gives its employees the same chance to grow professionally, learn about the industry, and make good money while doing it.
