Registered Nurse for "Director of Nursing" position:
We are seeking a dynamic RN to take a leadership role in a progressive home health care company, providing oversight for nurses. RN Home Health Director of Nursing supervises, coordinates and ensures patient care activities with the home health setting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supervision of RN's LVN's & HHA's, Coordination of patient care, teaching, training Updates staff periodically on regulatory requirements/changes and mentoring staff.
Must demonstrate good organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Strong interpersonal skills & Computer skills.
Oversees staff assignment/schedules to ensure adequate staffing.
Ability to multi-task and able accomplishes multiple goals.
Professional demeanor and appearance & Excellent customer relations skills.
Weekly update on all patients' status with documentation of patient’s chart.
Ensures agency records are auditable status at all times
Monitors patient care to ensure quality and appropriateness of services.
Initiation and update of physician plan of treatment according to company policy and applicable law and regulation.
Ability to take On-Call.
Maintains contact with staff in all patient care areas. Maintains contact with other patient care Coordinators/Directors. Maintains contact with physicians, families of patients, and other concerned persons.
Reviews and revises Performance Improvement plan annually.
Not afraid to work hard and get the job done.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, preferably BSN.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
CHAP or JCAHO accreditation experience preferred, not essential.
Minimum two years of home health experience preferred.
RN license in good standing in the state of Texas.
Past experience in management of nursing personnel.
Certification in rehab nursing or geriatrics nursing or equivalent is desirable.
