Pros: good people to work with
Cons: contract job, low salary
Typical day: Reviewing technicians' service calls and ensuring they were completed within timelines set by customers, daily calls with technicians across Alberta to review and discuss equipment needs and problem calls, interactions with store owners to schedule equipment upgrades.
Learned: interact machines and equipment, understand how it is all connected – more... to work properly, attended several cabling jobs and assisted technician to upgrade equipment for customers.
Management: Family owned and differences of opinions not often respected or welcomed.
Co-workers: Technicians were fantastic and worked well with each other. If one had a problem, another was just a phone call away to provide assistance and help.
Hardest part of job: Opinions not respected, suggestions ignored, high staff turnover in sales.
Most enjoyable: Very busy, variety of responsibilities. Our cabling and equipment upgrades in Alberta were done so quickly and successfully that I also became the first point of contact for the remaining stores in BC, Saskatchewan and Northwest Territories to finish the upgrades according to customer deadlines - which was also done successfully. – less
