Specific Summary:

  • Responsible for Tier 2 support of the company’s Enterprise Integration data virtualization platform
  • Composite and Self-Serve Data System (SSDS) solutions as well as Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) solutions that support the Composite solutions.
  • Support internal business users in the use of SSDS based solutions. Primary person to respond and troubleshoot incidents, requests, and/or tasks submitted via Service Now regarding Composite and SSDS.

General Summary:

  • Responsible for support of third party packaged applications and related SQL and/or Oracle databases.
  • Work closely with internal customers to understand business needs and requirements, and implement appropriate information technology solutions.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with other IT groups and resources to deliver seamless support to customers.
  • Participate in larger project implementations.
  • Support work to include the diagnosis and resolution of application, database and related data issues.
  • Responsibilities include vendor communications, installations, testing, documentation, and the diagnosis and resolution of problems.
  • Perform work of increasingly complex size, scope and impact.
  • Demonstrate increased technical skills and the ability to recommend and implements solutions.
  • Proactively support, upgrade and maintain Composite data virtualization technology in a timely manner at a reasonable cost.
  • Install, document, test, program/script, and troubleshoot SSDS based solutions and the Composite platform that supports SSDS, including Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures and/or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Perform work of increasingly complex size, scope and impact.
  • Demonstrate increased technical skills and the ability to recommend and implements data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, fulfill requests, and complete all assigned tasks submitted by business users via Service Now regarding Composite and SSDS.
  • Provide support for budgeted and unplanned projects.
  • Participate in larger project implementations.
  • Maintain employee productivity.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Manage vendor relationships and control cost escalation.
  • Effectively work across IT teams to provide support for IT initiatives such as ITOE, Policies and Procedures and disaster recovery.
  • Responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities, and escalating issues to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science, Business Administration, or related field is required, but will consider applicable work experience as it translates to an equivalent degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience is required.
  • Must be proficient in Composite and Data Virtualization technologies and concepts.
  • Training or experience in databases and data modeling preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft SQL Server database, store procedures, and SSIS.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Must have strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must show a demonstrated desire to learn.
