Paralegal (Former Employee) – Richmond, VA – April 21, 2016
This is one of the worst companies to work for if you are a hard worker and want to advance. There is absolutely no growth unless you're an attorney. You come in and you're automatically under a glass ceiling that can't be moved. A typical day is doing as much as you can with no recognition from the lawyers you work for. HR is useless since they are beholden to the attorneys and will get rid of you if you complain about lawyers being abusive or harassment. Once they feel your raises have gone above what they are willing to pay, they will cut you with no reason, bribe you with a severance package if you leave quietly, and replace you with someone that they can pay a lot less. If you are female and don't want to be involved in the office clique, they will find a way to get rid of you.
Low pay, verbal abuse, no recognition for hard work, low bonuses, too many to list
