Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Las Vegas, NV – February 18, 2013
Company provided a very important service and at one point was one of the largest in the field but the managment was very poor and in my opion the members paid the price.
Pros: set weekly schedule, personal/vacation days, healthcare
Cons: short breaks, standing, merger with competitor
There is not a typical day at work. Each day's schedule can be different but relates with tasks that the person is trained and certified to perform. The atmosphere is not stressful and each member of management is willing to work for the common goal. The hardest part would be the continual standing. In the production side sitting is not permitted. The – more... enjoyable part is the international flavor of the co workers - many coming from from foreign countries. – less

Great Virtual Opportunity! Medco Launch a WAH Pilot position in the Year 2005 and it worked and saved the company a lot of money. In the beginning there were a lot of challenges, with this being a new process never attempted before it took years to work out the bugs. The position allowed employees to be very flexible working at home and to work all – more... the hours they wanted to during the business peak times like open enrollment near the end of the year and the beginning of the year.. In short this was the best job ever! (high call volume) – less
Great place to work, I learned many new skills, great coworkers to work with. The hardest part of this job was making outbound calls to members converting prescription from retail to mail order. The most enjoyable part of the job great pay and being able to bonus , plenty of overtime available. No opportunities for growth, supervisors was great.

Cons: short lunch periods
Doing research for correct patient information was like working a puzzle. Each order was different and therefore, never boring. We shared information & shortcuts to find this information in a timely manner, so teamwork was good. Knowing we corrected information for the patient in a timely manner so they would receive their medication without a delay – more... was the most enjoyable part of the job. We all felt a great accomplishment in doing so. – less
