Interesting company that could be good at what they do. I saw a lot of turnover at the company (from senior leadership down) because it seemed that they kept trying to reinvent themselves. (For example, the company tried to launch a digital offering to balance the movement away from newspaper advertising. Sales people tried there best to sell a product that really wasn't their own and the clients saw right through it. This attempt failed and a bunch of sales people and the digital person were fired. Poor way to treat employees in my opinion. Glad I'm not at that end!)
The culture is very relaxed. Employees bring their dogs, wear what they want to and have music playing throughout the office space all day. As mentioned by the other employee, there is a pub room that many of the employees enjoy when they can. We also have a killer Fantasy Football League going on right now!
pub room, freedom to work at your own pace, health benies
scary if you are in sales or product development, lack of communication
Very strange company. To top heavy with no strong leadership. They like to pass the buck of failure to people at the bottom.
Job Work/Life Balance
Work Hard and Play Hard
Account Development Specialist (Current Employee) – Hopkins, MN – August 21, 2012
At Mediaspace Solutions we worked very hard and we played very hard as well. While at your desk you are constantly multi-tasking to keep all clients happy. While away from your desk you can be found talking with co-workers, enjoying a beer from one of the "Pub Room" taps(if its the afternoon) or taking a breather to get away from the pressures that are present while at your desk. The hardest part of the job is the pressure to meet deadlines. Being highly organized is the key to success at Mediaspace Solutions.
