Up to few years ago it was not so difficult to get into a Medical Physics residency from most scientific backgrounds. Nowadays established Medical Physicists, coming mostly from Nuclear Engineering, Physics, Chemistry Biology, and so fort, have suddenly become
snobbish and fussy splitting the hair over the background.
Does anyone have any clue where to find a place accepting physicists for medical physics training ?

these jobs do not exist. I called this company the day they posted the adds for houston and austin and was told they may no longer be available. That is because they never did. I live in Houston and have recently lived in Austin. I know the job market well and there is no such position.

There were two postings for COTA's the day I called. One was for a SNF and one was for Outpatient. I was pretty much told that I didn't have a chance at outpatient since most of my experience was in SNF's and I had "pigeonholed" myself. Why does someone who has never met me get to decide what job I interview for?
