The medical distribution industry is a good industry to be in. The employees at MSD work hard but at times do get frustated with the decease of hours during most weeks. Starting pay is above average for a warehouse associate for the industry. However, upper management is clueless to what's actually needed to meet the demands of increased business and meeting their lines per hours (LPH) requirements. For instance, LPH number for scanner order picking will not be met utilizing manual order picking. This would lead to a lower LPHs and more quality error.
Warehouse supervisor position is a working floor position and a management position. To make sure that 100% of orders are picked, packed and shipped daily. Make sure that a 99.7% quality rate is maintained, manage the warehouse operations and administrative personnel request and issues.
Good people and good work environment.
Unrealistic expectation by upper management w/o provided the tools
