PURPOSE:
This position supports the sales and marketing division with all daily operational functions including field rep phone calls and inquiries, sales analysis, data development, and projections. Through analysis of data, this position will prepare regular sales reports for tracking and monitoring purposes to identify trends and provide focus for realigning of operations as necessary. Preparation of sales projection reports for future forecasting is also a core function of this position. This position is responsible for providing internal operational support in the areas of sales and marketing with the focus on enhanced competitiveness and sales growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track via Excel part-time reps by state along including local tax requirements
  • Order business cards, name tags, and coordination of e-mail set-up for the part-time sales team
  • Monitor and maintain the “protected sales target list”
  • Develop database and excel reports from raw data
  • Analyze reports and provide recommendations based on findings
  • Respond to and supports questions from the sales team as the first line of contact
  • Prepare weekly sales reports for the Pharmacy Liaisons, Regional Pharmacy Liaisons, the department management team and owners
  • Analyze the reports to identify trends, concerns, and potential issues and provide information to support sales and marketing initiatives
  • Work with the Director of Sales to prepare the monthly commission reports and other sales reports as needed
  • Prepare quarterly, semi-monthly, and yearly sales projections in conjunction with the department management
  • Ensure departmental policies are in place and followed accordingly
  • Ensure field requests are met accordingly such as supply needs
  • Identify areas needing further analysis and research
  • Perform special duties and projects as assigned
  • Independently problem solve and troubleshoot

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excel, Database development, and Microsoft Access skills a must
  • Strong computer and reporting skills specifically with Excel and Microsoft Office products
  • Must be able to create databases and excel reports from raw data
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently with minimal daily direction
  • Independently problem solve
  • Ability to research data and information and summarize and present in a business sales format
  • Ability to use metrics to measure and analyze data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Customer service and phone skills required
  • Strong marketing and sales skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in business administration or related business area
  • A minor or double major in computer database applications and analysis
  • Prior experience working in the area of sales coordination and sales support is strongly preferred
  • 2 – 3 years business analysis and forecasting experience preferred
  • Healthcare related experience preferred
