It depends on your manager an your dept. Most people are over worked and under paid. Sometimes they go unrecognized for periods of times and it takes years to get promoted. Note everyone is on the same page here. When it comes to salary they pay you at the low end of it and bonuses are low. They offer good health care and match 6% 401K. When it comes to work life balance they will tell you yes and promote it but then eave it up to your managers for final say so. This means some will have it and some won't.

Initially MedImmune was an exciting place to work with many interesting challenges for a newly minted science. However, after many years that environment gave way to the extreme pressures to deliver on clinical goals. This not really unique to MedImmune. The pharmaceutical industry as a whole faces similar challenges.

For a 40,000 square foot state of the art facility. Instituted and managed facilities department training program. Maintained the budget and spreadsheets for the Facilities Department. Negotiated and Instituted all outside contracts on equipment. Managed all outside contractors and in-house resident contractors. Preventative Maintenance Manager for facility using MAXIMO preventative maintenance software. Maintained inventory control of all spare parts and tools using MAXIMO.
