Fun and easy work environment, all around team work from all employees
Medical Manufacturing Assembler (Former Employee), Mystic,CTMarch 2, 2015
Work would start at 630 am and would check the list by the managers office to see what room we would be working in. Shifts would be 10 hours a day four days a week with weekends off. I learned how to use different machines that help with the process of making the products and materials, working with y co-workers was a lot of fun, we were like a family and helped each other out in anyway possible to accomplish the task. We would help each other with clean up of our work stations at the end of the day so everyone could leave at 5 pm.

really good place to work at.
Engineering contingent (Current Employee), Mounds View, MNFebruary 17, 2015
I have never worked at a better company than this. very good culture, friendly atmosphere, the most enjoyable part of the job is how ideas are exchanged between different groups not to mention the outside job functions aimed at getting people to know each other better and their contribution to the company as a whole. It truly is a blessing to work at Medtronic.

Great place to work if you're built for a call center
Diabetes Therapy Consultant (Current Employee), San Antonio, TXFebruary 17, 2015
Pros: good stable company with mediocre pay
Cons: call center without much hope of promoting out of it.
Medtronic is an excellent company to work for! The benefits are top notch and management is relaxed and does not micro manage but they are production driven. This is a call center with many hours of sitting though they give you opportunity to move around some. The advancement opportunities are there and achievable but difficult to promote out of a call center environment.

Overall I have had a great experience at Medtronic.

Extreme Telemarketing
Diabetes Therapy Consultant (DTC) (Current Employee), San Antonio, TXFebruary 17, 2015
Pros: decent pay
Cons: inexperienced management, not much room for advancement
Let me start off by saying this would be a good place to work straight out of college, but as an experienced professional, I find it difficult to buy into the culture. The Diabetes Therapy Consultant position is touted as the top-tier within the inside sales positions. Career advancement is difficult and usually attained by leaving the company.

A typical day at work is to dial, dial, dial and sell another unit. Management lacks vision, understanding, experience, and is interested in their own career advancement. Brown nosing is part of the culture and if you do not do it, you will not advance. Entrepreneurial thinking, constructive feedback, and process improvement ideas are not welcome.
