I recently went through my second interview at Meijer the other day and I was wondering if I have the job. Now, this would be my very first job and as many false hopes as I've stumbled across in this crappy economy I do not want to get them struck down again. I had the first interview with the General Manager and the second with the Location Manager, who both seemed very pleased with my knowledge of photography. At any rate, I was called back in two days ago to sign a background check form where the General Manager told me "class" started Monday. Would "class" be orientation? Do I have the job?

I applied to meijers last night and got a call from meijers today leaving me amessage saying to call them back for an interview. I use to work for Kroger and that interview waas easy because I only had to take a drug test, and that was the end of my interview. What is an interview like at Meijers though? I;m scared to answer questions.

I am getting hired at a local Meijer to be a 3rd shift stocker. The 3rd shift there is from 10pm-6am. I am going to college this fall. Do you think that even though I am going to be hired specifically for 3rd shift that I will be given an availability sheet to fill in what hours I am available during third shift? I need to be out by 4am 4 days a week if I was scheduled during those days, because I need to get up for college classes the next day for 10am class. I'm just hoping that since I'm being hired for part time employment that I will get to fill out an availability sheet.
