I was at the office around 6:30 am almost every day, my choice though since I am an early bird.
I took care of whatever my boss asked in the email, such as projections data, statistics, write emails and send thank you letters to donors.
I was in charge of Raiser's Edge and managed to get all the money we received from donors in the different funds, and to run financial reports, mailing list, perspective donors. And much more.
A typical day included all the above plus making sure the office was running smooth by dealing with suppliers and taking care of all the bills.
I had a great time with my coworkers, never a scratch.
The best part of my job was having to work until 3:30 in the day, since I came in very early and took no lunch break (again, my choice). Also, the benefits were great.
The hardest part was during the end of the financial year, when we had to deal with IRS, the Board of Trustees, Financial Office, etc. It was kind of hectic, but manageable.
Great healthcare and vacation package, short commute
