Vice President for Finance and Administration (Former Employee), Dobbs Ferry, NYMarch 17, 2013
It has suffered from a series of poor presidents and is a difficult place to work. The current president is leaving on June 30 and one can hope they will finally hire a competent president to turn things around.

counselor (Former Employee), dobbs ferryFebruary 22, 2013
Pros: experience is experience...
Cons: everything
Mercy is good for experience on your resume, but that's about it. You are underpaid, overworked, pushed around and rarely appreciated. There is no unity within the college, each department is their own entity so there is a lot of finger pointing to whose fault this is or that is. Not many people are not happy with their jobs so they leave frequently. – more... Mercy is not a good work environment...at all. – less

Internship -Executive/Administrative Assistant (Former Employee), Dobbs Ferry, NYSeptember 17, 2012
Pros: great working environment.
Cons: terrible walk from metro north. up a dirt road.
A typical day at work was really in your hands. You were given a project to finish and you had a reasonable deadline. I was able to apply my executive assistant skills at this job. My co-workers were very suportive. The hardest part of the job was that there was a lack of clearical support. I enjoyed working with my co-workers.

Educational Workplace
Campus Management & Student Affairs (Former Employee), Dobbs Ferry , NYMay 23, 2012
Pros: good education, flexible hours, networking tool
Cons: low pay and long hours after class
I would basically be a receptionist for campus management and dean of school. I would have special projects that needed accomplished. Management was very supportive and motivational being that most of management were college graduates. My co-workers were also students so it was nice to work amongst my peers. The hardest part about the job was sometime – more... working late nights after long days of class. The most enjoyable part about the job was learning so much, being in a college setting amongst peers, and being motivated – less
