Opened in June 2006, Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is Gilbert's first full-service hospital and was brought to the community by Catholic Healthcare West. With 88 private inpatient rooms and four special care nursery beds, the four-story, 350,000 square-foot facility has plans to add 92 beds in 2007, and has the capacity to grow to 400 beds as the needs of the Gilbert community continue to grow.
