Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Indianapolis, IN - October 11, 2012
The typical day includes treatment of clients to return them to their highest functional level to increase independence at home or to optimize their quality of life within a facility. I manage the occupational therapy caseload to ensure RUG levels are met and that each member of the occupational therapy team has the appropriate documentation completed in a timely manner. The rehab manager relies on accurate reporting of this information to integrate into the interdisciplinary therapy team. My co-workers are also dedicated to the best patient care and utilize the strengths of others to provide cohesive and quality care. The most enjoyable part of the job (and by far, the most important!) is patient care.
