Overall, Merion is not an awful place to work. Friendly people, well designed office space, and convenient location. The first few months of my experience here were pleasant. After awhile however, I learned of many layoffs that were swept under the rug and hidden, and I also learned of the many budget issues this company is having (secretly cutting peoples paychecks to pay the electric bill, then writing it off as a payroll error and reimbursing employees later on). While I understand that many print businesses are struggling, this company has refused to update their many outdated procedures. They use many of the same processes and paperwork as they did in the 80s, and it's killing their business. I read many reviews before I worked here, and thought I would still give it a shot, since you really have to take online reviews with a grain of salt. However, I do not recommend this company for the long-term. Many people here have been working here for 10 or more years, but I have found that they are "used to" the processes, and have not had experience outside of Merion. For someone in their 20s, this is not the place to work.
