We were a small store in a tourist town. I was in high school when I was employed with Merle Norman, and a year later, I am certain it was the best job I have ever had.
Typically, we came in 15 minutes early to open the store. During the day, we cleaned and assisted customers with product selection and check out. If it was a special day, we were able to do a makeover, which included a small and personal lecture on skincare, and a tutorial on the application of makeup.
I learned how to communicate with customers and how to achieve sales.
The store was owned by a wonderful lady. She was kind and funny, and a joy to be around. There was an air of class about her that radiated through the store. My coworker was an experienced cosmetologist, and she had a lot to teach me. I enjoyed working with both ladies!
The only hard thing about this job was learning about each product, individually. But, it was also one of the most enjoyable things.
I truly loved everything about that store. It was an amazing experience.
Discount on product, sales education, best boss ever
