Fun and productive place to work
Clinical Analytics Lead (Current Employee) –  Cambridge, MAOctober 18, 2016
At Merrimack I had the chance to learn a lot about modeling and simulations. I was involved in computational efforts from early pre-clinical settings through late clinical drug development. My worked impacted key decision-making across the entire organization and allowed me to cross-interact with people in various divisions including Corporate, Finance, Discovery, Development, Clinical Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.

Co-workers are friendly, highly professional, and open to both receive and provide constructive feedback. Working environment is fun and design to facilitate collaborative interactions
Pros
Freedom to work on several different areas of computational modeling
Cons
Compensation is low compared to other companies

good people with their hearts in the right place
Specialist, Liposomal Chemistry (Former Employee) –  Cambridge, MANovember 15, 2016
Having a novel drug on the market and going from research-based to commercial-based environment. This company definitely had it's heart in the right place, but is still in the "growing pains" stage of it's transition to a commercial entity.
Pros
commitment to fighting cancer
Cons
may need management training

Great Employees, Horrible Sr Management - out of touch
Director, Clinical Data Managemt (Former Employee) –  Cambridge, MAOctober 7, 2016
The recent resignation of the CEO and restructuring of the company, including a drastic 22% reduction in staff reflects the financial mismanagement and poor leadership at the top levels of the company. Sadly, a lot of people are now unemployed due to the carelessness of a handful of people.

Oncology Clinical Partner (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJanuary 26, 2017
As a hybrid position, our roles have given us the unique opportunity to do something different. We present clnical data, either proactively per the FDA label, or reactively after gaining a signature on a Medical Information Request Form.

Start Up Oncology Company
Director, National Accounts, Federal Markets (Former Employee) –  Cambridge, MAJuly 8, 2016
Merrimack is an oncology startup with an Orphan for it's initial drug. There is still the sense of innovation, but staffing cuts 5 months after launch shows that there is a bit of a learning curve on it's commercialization sector.
Pros
Start up sense of independence
Cons
Uncertain future

Productive and fun work place
Research Associate (Current Employee) –  Cambridge, MAAugust 12, 2014
The company culture at Merrimack is different from anything I have ever experienced. Everyone who works here is truly genuine and passionate about their jobs. It is a very welcoming company and you do not feel like the new employee for very long. The managers and senior leaders are very approachable, easy to talk to, and understanding. The work life balance is incredible, and they understand that yes work has to be done, but your life and family are more important. The only con comes from it being a small and growing company who is still establishing its place in the pharmaceutical world, which makes difficult for temps/contracts who wish to become permanent employees to do so.

This place is the worst place to work
Validation Specialist (Former Employee) –  Cambridge, MAApril 21, 2016
I was hired for two months to qualify their computer system. As a consultant when I started doing my job I was asked to shut up and do what they wanted. They treat you like an animal.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Everything

Good place for cancer research
Intern (Former Employee) –  Cambridge, MAMarch 3, 2016
Great environment to work on novel approaches towards fighting cancer. Attempting to bridge the gap between engineering and biology in cancer research. Still relatively new on the scene. Good because relationships and interactions between employees can be more personal. Bad because lack of clearly defined research direction, but getting there.
Pros
Small, friendly, engaging

Nice place to work if no need for structure
Clinical Trial Associate (Current Employee) –  Cambridge, MANovember 8, 2013
This is a nice place to work at, with nice people and a lot of flexibility to allow very good life/work balance.
However, the company lacks the structure necessary for such a riche pipeline.
Pros
Allows remote work, nice people to work with
Cons
Lack structure and long-term vision
