Very energetic and detail oriented job.
House Cleaner (Current Employee), Roscoe, IL –
Pros: able to take a break when it was needed
Cons: no set time of clocking out, difficult customers, driving distances
Very physical job that requires attention to detail, excellent customer service, and a hard working attitude.
I would usually have 2-4 houses in a day, working solo. The hardest part of the job was trying to satisfy the needs of our most difficult customers. Sometimes this took time and patience to achieve.

Liked Working Here
Residential Housecleaner (lead-single/team) (Former Employee), Plymouth, MN –
Pros: great people to work for at this location
Cons: not the best pay but it is what it is
It was short lived but always felt welcomed and enjoyed coming to work everyday. The pay wasn't the best but it was just residential housecleaning so it worked at the time. Merry Maids is a great starting company to work with the day to day operations are smoothly ran and the clients are very diverse but yet easy to get along with and clean for. The – more...  employee turnover rate was very low which made keeping the same team together that much easier. – less

Productive
Summer Part-Time (Former Employee), Mississauga –
Working with merry maids, was a typical day to day occupancy. For myself it was a typical day at home- only cleaning and satifying other people. My management was a family memember- and it didnt really work out. My co-workers were awesome and we all helped eachother get the job done in time. The hardest part of the job was seeing cokmplete satisfaction – more...  from client, although sometimes it was not easy, I can say that the job was always done right. HAving clients call back for another house cleaning job meant that we were satisfying ti them, and that was very enjoyable to myself and co-workers. – less

Team Captain (Former Employee), Canton, OH –
Pros: can't think of any
Cons: very poor management
when i first started there i was promised a lot and didn't get any of it. It wasn't a very nice company to work for and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone to work there or have service there.

Veronica – May 6, 2012

i worked there for 3 years too long! the management talks to you with disrespect, they did not pay me for alot of the work i did. they told me in my first interview i would be making 4-5 hundred a week and they did not keep to that! i would never refer anyone to this job it brought me so much stress to the point where i did not know what to do.

I loved working for Merry Maids
Merrry "Maid (Current Employee), Victoria British Columbia Canada –
Pros: bonuses, perks, outings
Cons: not sure of work hours, very challenging expectations
I had worked for Merry Maids, and still am until Tuesday, they are a great employer, I am leaving because I was told by doctor I can no longer clean. which is to me very sad because I have not only gotten close to all the staff but to all the clients, they offer benefits, and bonuses, and are a great company to work for, anyone who got a position should – more...  expect to work hard but be rewarded for it – less
