I traveled and met wonderful people
Flight Attendant, IOE Supervisor (Current Employee), Charlotte, NCAugust 28, 2014
Mesa is a disorganized company. They did not compensate the Flight Attendants for the work they actually provided for and treat their employees without regards to longevity.

Great company for first time flight attendants
Flight Attendant (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZMay 28, 2014
Pros: health benefits, travel discounts, free flights, great co-workers
Cons: 12 to 16 hour days but when you love the job this doesn't matter
Report to airport 45 min prior to flight departure, prepare cabin by checking supplies, emergency equipment, water levels and lav. Report any problems to the Pilot in command. Board passenger’s 30 min prior to departure. Assist with disabled customers, children, luggage, and seating discrepancies during the boarding process. Ensure cabin is secure before – more... leaving the gate. Safety demo during taxi and check cabin is secure before takeoff. After the aircraft has reached 10,000 feet a full beverage service is done and customer comfort is of highest importance. Clean cabin before landing and ensure cabin is once again secure. Welcome arrival announcement is made after landing. Once aircraft is secure at the gate customers will deplane and you will prepare the cabin for the next passengers.

THIS AIRLINE OPERATES MOSTLY AIRCRAFT THAT ONLY REQUIRE 1 FLIGHT ATTENDANT ON-BOARD SO, YOU WILL BE WORKING BY YOURSELF MOST OF THE TIME. MUST BE CONFIDENT THAT YOU CAN HANDLE ANY PROBLEM OR EMERGENCY ALONE IN THIS POSITION. The company will provide you will all the medical skills they can. They will also provide light training in self-defense. – less

Decent starting position
Database Management / Change Management Analyst (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZApril 7, 2014
I worked here for a short while upon my exit from the U.S. Navy. It was a decent place to land for a short while. They gave me some good experience but the management was very poor and there was no morale due to many lay-offs. I only stayed here for a short while before finding my position at Honeywell Aerospace (which I loved by the way).

flight attendant
Flight Attendant - Certified (Current Employee), Phoenix, AZMarch 2, 2014
being a flight attendant is fun. Hard work and too many hours being unpaid. Co workers are good but the company do not care about their employees.

Long hours for little compensation
Flight Attendant (Former Employee), Charlotte, NCMarch 1, 2014
Pros: the people you work with
The rules were made to bend in favor of the company, not protecting its employees.

Fellow coworkers made job a fun place for employment.
RAMP AGENT/DISPATCHER (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZNovember 12, 2013
Pros: free flight benefits!!!
Cons: pay!
Fast paced work environment with elements of danger present. Further enhanced my belief in team unity and cooperation. Each department of daily operations depended heavily on the next to get daily goals met and safe working a priority.
Management on site was great. They were former "Rampers" who knew what the daily grind was all about.
Co-workers were – more... the most enjoyable part of the job along with the flight benefits. I still have contact with friends I made there. Took from the monotony and livened up shifts.
Enduring the summer temperatures of Phoenix during the summer was the hardest part of the job. – less

Lead Aircraft on Ground (AOG) Controller (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZOctober 16, 2013
Regardless of the airline, AOG Controllers are the definition of expedite. Loads of fun in a heavily regulated industry.

Stressful
Crew Tracker/Training Scheduler (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZJuly 26, 2013
Cons: lunch at your desk, no breaks
The environment was high stress, there were days you didn't have a choice but work way too much overtime. If you didn't have a social life or a family this job was great, but if you did have anything else to do besides work this was not the place.
