Tutor in math and science (Former Employee) –  Seattle, WAJune 22, 2017
Back when MESA was still around it was a geat opportunity to give back to the community and help young students prepare for high school providing them with that extra edge. I had loads of fun tutoring. It not only helped upcoming students prepare for the high school curriculum but also helped me understand concepts better and become a better teacher.

case manager (Former Employee) –  Mesa CountyMarch 29, 2017
excellent direct management. Supportive, hard working, knowledgable and ethical supervisor. Great work, great team, but no pay increase in almost 11 yrs. Huge case load which makes work/life balance very very difficult. Great co workers. If load was more manageable, would be great job, but it's piled on and not possible to keep up and do a good job.
Pros
excellent direct management. great co workers. enjoyable work
Cons
no raises 10 yr, cuts, work load way in excess of what can be done

Supporting STEM students, inconsistent roles
Volunteer MESA Ceremony Reception (Former Employee) –  Sacramento, CAJanuary 22, 2017
Massive support for STEM students who were transferring to a university. Provided food and offered presentations. The downside was that the tasks were confusing. The roles had to be changed the last minute. The management was supportive. STEM students from three college districts were able to unite together.
Pros
Free banquet
Cons
shift in personal roles

They will not give any family time they have good benefits but they are horribly managed. The foreman on drill crew are very lazy and the higher ups are even worse.
Pros
Free hotels
Cons
Lazy leaders, low pay for the work.

Easy work, cheap pay
Supervisor Assistant (Current Employee) –  Greenville, SCJune 20, 2016
Supervisor won't allow enough time and rushes to get work done with minimal tools necessary. It's a hassle to get the tools you need. Cool guy, but penny pincher. There's plenty of good along with the bad, but the bad outweighs the good by far. Multiple previous employees all leave for the same reason.
Pros
Easy work.
Cons
No benefits, days off, vacations and overtime is rare. Hourly salaries are way off balanced.

Math and science is their passion!
Mentor/Teacher Assistant (Former Employee) –  Lakewood, WAJuly 28, 2013
I've been with MESA since 10th grade! They help kids learn about math and science/engineering, even help find opportunities for MESA alumni! It was a pleasure being with them.
