Nice place to work
Radiologic Technologist (Current Employee), Philadelphia, PA – May 18, 2013
In a typical day i x-ray at least 15-20 cases. I have been heare a couple of years including my clinicals and am now on as per diem and I have learned a lot. My coworkers are generally very helpful and easy going. The hardest part of the job is the in-patients but most are ok. The best part is that i love doing what I do and it is a treat every day.

Work Experiance
Patient Access Representative (Current Employee), Arcadia ,Ca – May 1, 2013
Pros: working with awsome clincal staff.and my coworkers.
Cons: i feel sorry for the patients when they are sick.
A typical work day is very fast pace, verifying demographics registering patients bedside,Ive learned that the customer is always right and no matter how upset a patient is, The patient is not upset with you , So ive learned not too take it personel and help the patient as best I can so they can have the best visit at our hospital. Its awsome to have – more... great coworkers that have great work ethic. And its always good to talk too your coworkers about how too make the work process better. – less

Constant Challenges
Reimbursement Specialist (Former Employee), Dallas, TX – April 17, 2013
Pros: able to problem solve.
As a Reimbursement Specialist you had to be able to interpret contractual information regarding a variety of health insurance plans. Since I like to research, figure out problems and then find a solution, this job was good fit. Staff was wonderful. The employer had great benefits and retirement plan.

Cons: short breaks and dying children
wello i worked in peds and intensive care unit the children were sick and some died , management was ok and my coworkers were excellent to work with .the hardest part of the job was that some of the children died but seeing the healthy ones was rewarding and i had a lot of going away parties for the children. the most enjoyable part of the job was meeting – more... new people and scheduling the test and going home after a long day at work – less

Best Critical Care Experience Ever
CVICU Nurse (Former Employee), Houston, TX – April 7, 2013
Pros: extensive training and care for the post surgical client.
Cons: low pay, no breaks.
I entered into Methodist Hospital's Critical Care Residency Program. The didactic portions of this program was intense and precise and included all aspects of care for clients with various Cardiac, Vascular, Transplant, Neurological, Surgical interventions. I was elected valedictorian and the speaker of the class. The preceptor ship was also intense – more... and only the toughest survived. I gained experience that will last me a life time in all aspects of care for clients requiring extensive post-surgical care implementing that latest advanced technologies. Methodist Hospital is a learning facility for Baylor College of Medicine and it was my responsibility to oversee the MD's provisions of care, and frequently wrote doctors orders that they signed off on when acute response was required. The managerial style was instructive and positive. – less

Wide variety of networking
Patient Transporter (Former Employee), Houston, TX – April 6, 2013
Pros: networking with other departments
Cons: no breaks if busy, have to ask to use the restroom, managers have their favorites
The job was very easy. What makes this job hard is the managers. Not only do you have a quota to meet every day and month, but also rules that managers come up with every day. The managers and dispatchers have different views of the rules of the hospital. Met a lot of cool people.

Pros: learning new and exciting things.
Cons: from time to time you may would have to cover two or more units, which can sometime be overwhellming if you do not know the doctors of that unit.
I really enjoyed working very closely to my doctors and nurses. Working as the unit sec. i really had to be on top of my game and the upkeep of my work space.

Methodist
Medical Insurance Specialist/CBR (Former Employee), Houston, TX – March 22, 2013
Pros: methodist allowed me to step in.
Cons: i wish that my manager would have fought to give me a raise.
Methodist gave me the chance to show my skills and that I was just not another employee. I gave my all to this company and is so thank ful that I learned what I learned. I taught myself more but without Methodist I don't know where I would be. There is always the ones that don't work and the of course since I was great at what I did, I picked up other – more... coworkers slack plus was given extra duties. – less

Methodist Hospital
Environmental Clerk (Former Employee), Philadelphia, PA – March 22, 2013
A day Methodist was always a up and down day, there was always new projects each day that had to be done. Learning new stuff was fun got to use floor machines such as buffers, floor strippers and learning how to lay the wax down. Management was good always made the work place a easy and stressful place to work. Coworkers were good people to work with – more... very helpful and kind and respectful to each other. i would say the hardest part of the job was when you have to see the sickly patients everyday. The most enjoyable part of work is when have our parties around the holidays everyone is in good mood and tries to forget the stress of the job. – less

There are much better employers out there
r (Former Employee), TMC – March 13, 2013
Pros: paycheck
Cons: management, hr, ojt training
Typical day at work was usually full of pointless meetings.
I learned that very few staff members were willing to help out new staff members. Management was never helpful. Interacting with HR was pointless.
