Metro is an awesome company to work for. Their are countless resources for its employees and the public to enhance their quality of life and service.
Dispatcher (Current Employee), St. Louis, MO – July 9, 2012
Metro has a plethora of resources to assist their employees to have a high quality of satisfaction in life. They offer excellent health (mentally and physically) resources that is avaiable for the optimum work/home life. Examples: Zumba, counseling services, exercise facilities, stress and cholestoral testing etc. It is extremely family oriented and – more... offer days were families can mingle to get to know each othe like softball tournaments, employee appreciations and luncheons for the holidays. I can say that it is thoroughly enjoyable. The work is very involving and there is great reward for performing on the best level possible. It is a service to the public so feedback is based on how well we satisfy transportation needs to the public, which can be difficult to meet each individual need. Metro has open forums as well that the public can join to learn the direction of the company and discuss what can be implemented to better assist the public. It is an awesome company to work for. – less

- hardest part of the job was staying up overnight when it was slow.

Bus Operator (Trainee) (Former Employee), Los Angeles, CA – April 26, 2012
While the company wants the best, they don't want anyone to stick out too much.

Lots of good people in management, however upper management suffers from having a few 'bad apples'
