Financial Adviser (Current Employee), Johannesburg – April 14, 2013
Cons: working on saturdays
I work in the field and go the office when it is necessary. I have learned that people are different and have different values and beliefs. I have great colleagues who work hard and very inspirational. it's difficult when there are no clients interested in the products, and the target is not reached. when the business has went well, it becomes very – more... inspiring and pays off. It is very rewarding. – less

: – more... most enjoyable part of the job is that, if i work hard i'll enjoy salary an other benefits. – less

sales consaltant (Current Employee), cape town – March 13, 2013
Pros: not really
Cons: no long hours
it is ok to work for them, but coming to payments it becomes sad story, specially if you are on sales deparetment, they will deduct the laspes and unpaid policies on your pay cheque, and you would left with zero balance. and what would be the point of being employed, with no income!!!

Flexible Environment, not overly stringent on employees
Tax and Finance Administrator (Current Employee), Bellville, Western Cape – February 23, 2013
Pros: free bus transpaort to tygervalley mall, daily
Cons: work overload
Company adopts a flexi-time working hour policy (nice to have)
The department I am in at present, has a heavy workload
I've learnt that flexibility in this department is the order of the day
Constant interruptions to disrupt your daily flow of work
Management is ok
Co-workers are pleasant to get along with
Hardest part of the job is the constant interruptions – more... and the fact that you can never stick to the day you've planned for yourself
The most enjoyable part of the day is the fact that I get to work with a variety of tasks – less

Room for learning and growth
Marketing and Communications Manager (Current Employee), Lesotho – January 14, 2013
Pros: rewards eg overseas bonanzas
Cons: always convince the clients to invest
consultation with other departments regarding communication internally, always think out of the box, introduce new products to the existing and new clients do things dfferently and also be above your competitors, therefore this job keeps me on my toes however i like it because i am no more afraid of challenges, the management is good because you can – more... grow with the company and also in terms of the study asissistance they help staff membrs alot, the hardest part of the job is that our sales consultant do not have an aftersales skills and sometimes clients cancel their policies because they were not given enough information therefore it is very hard to train the sales consultants to make sure that they should have a relationship with their clients, the most enjoyable part is when you get rewards for a job well done, overseas trips and others – less

financial advisor (Current Employee), bloemfontein – November 14, 2012
Pros: company development
Cons: management style
Working for Metropolitan is challenging. you should continuously look for new clients, accept rejection and accept any changes happening and adapt.

i have learned to work under pressure adapt to different styles of customers, look for potential markets and so on.

what really don't like about the company its the management style which was my downfall.

my – more... co-workers are great we share a lot of ideas

its not hard but if you don't have support from your manager it will be hard

selling the products is enjoyable – less
