Vehicle Service Technician (VST) (Former Employee), hillsboro, ORAugust 2, 2015
Pros: Fun work atmosphere.
Cons: Work in harsh weather, short lunch.
Fair pay for fair work with good people and your work means something. I liked most aspects about the job, overall it is a good place to work.

OK volunteer work
Volunteer Assistant (Former Employee), Framingham, MAAugust 2, 2015
Day typically started doing clerical work, updating paper works, filing, faxing and calling patients for appointment reminders. Most patients I had to call were Latinos so communication was a little hard as they barely spoke english, but it was manageable since I know a little spanish and I was glad to put that skill to some use. One administrative coworker was particularly friendly but the therapists didn't seem approachable.

Best job I've ever had!
Administrative (Current Employee), Framingham/Natick, MAMarch 30, 2015
Pros: Excellent staff and Leadership., Great training and opportunity for advancement., I have had to work hard, but I have been rewarded with several promotions over the years.
Cons: They seem to be rolling out a LOT (too many?) corporate initatives at the same time.
Healthcare is a very challenging environment. Working with the staff and leaders at MWMC has made me so much better at what I do! People have taken the time to mentor me and I have enjoyed the challenges of working at a mid-sized community hospital.

The leadership team is constantly looking at ways to increase patient satisfaction and care, safety, and quality. There is no doubt that patients are put first at MWMC.

The HR department is very supportive and aggressive at finding the right staff to work at the hospital.

Although I may not agree with every single decision that management has made (Where could you work where you would agree with EVERYTHING?), I do feel that they are fair and listen to employees when they have concerns or suggestions.

I am proud to work here and proud to get my medical care here as well!

Patient Account Representative (Former Employee), Framingham, MAOctober 8, 2014
If you like a fast paced environment you will definitely have a lot of work to do here. The managers and supervisors have not advanced with the times, When I worked there you could not talk to your coworkers.

Staff Phlebotomist (Current Employee), Framingham, MASeptember 4, 2014
Pros: management
Cons: healthcare environment in general
The work is very challenging but also rewarding. The environment is full of caring individuals, who are there for the patients first, for the most part. Management seems to understand what we need to get our jobs performed at a high level.

A typical day comprised of running samples in each section of the lab. This lab was smaller so everyone was able to help each other out if needed

Employees are better than management deserves.
Clinical Social Worker (Former Employee), Natick, MAMarch 25, 2014
Many of the unit directors have created cross-disciplined teams of employees that work well with one another in the interests of the patients. This is a site, however, which has been managed "for profit" for fifteen years under multiple owners. As a consequence, the corporate culture is subject to shifts in emphasis. The successive owners' attempts to impose a culture rather than benefit from the existing one generates a sense of insecurity among staff. Most recently, there is an emphasis has been on cost savings at the expense of long-term professionals.

lack of professionalism, bad management, and low pay
Patient Service Rep (Former Employee), MassachusettsMarch 20, 2014
Pros- this hospital seems to truly want to put patient care first

Cons- unprofessional co-workers and management some of the things I've heard is just unbelievable.

There is lack of team work, lots of backstabbing, and gossip. I even experienced some of the most disgraceful racial slurs, which should never happen especially in the workplace.

They pay way below the average for the state.

If you get an offer somewhere else I would suggest you go elsewhere.

I enjoyed the work environment, the clients, and my coworkers.
Per Diem staff nurse on START (Former Employee), Natick, MAAugust 26, 2013
Pros: the clients and staff i worked with.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with the dedicated professionals and lay staff who were my coworkers. Caring for client's with a primary diagnosis of substance abuse, but with both psychiatric and medical comorbidities provided challenging and dynamic work that built my skills and judgment in nursing care. Working in such an environment was very personally fulfilling. Most often I was the charge nurse on my shift and made multiple decisions regarding nursing care, administrative issues, and coworker responsibilities. A difficult part of the job was feeling spread thin when the census was high and there was a high level of acuity among the clients, but I am certainly grateful to have had such a rewarding work experience.

Pros: 1 free barbeque day in summer
Cons: too many to mention
All bells and whistles when you go for the interview.

The worst place I ever worked.

They keep finding ways to take more money away from their employees like a 401 K contributions, insurance copays, and coverage for insurance.

This hospital is doing so poorly try to manipulate to taking their own insurance plan. The best plan you can get has a 750 dollars deductible. If you choose the coverage from the hospital you have to spend 1000 dollars before any benefits kick in. On top of that you have to go to all the hospitals network doctors which I working at the hospital.

Caution caution caution.

This is will you go to work if there are no other places on earth.
