OK to start with
LPN, RN (Current Employee), Tempe, AZAugust 11, 2014
Pros: freedom to care for your patient without interuption
Cons: management is very unorganized
A typical day depends on the household you work in and the care the patient needs. I have learned how to properly document and work effectively on my own with no supervision from day to day. I learned how t act fast and make decisions in times where things need to be decided quickly. Co-workers are great but not often seen since you usually work on – more... your own and give or receive report from mom or dad. Hardest part of the job is learning where things are and how the family prefers things to be done as it changes in each home. The most enjoyable part of this job is developing a bond with the family and patients. – less

Pros: free food at staff meetings. nice patients and families to work with.
Cons: very difficult to get a hold of the staffing coordinator i was assigned to.
The supervisors were very hard to reach.
The job it's was very enjoyable taking care of 2 little boys
in their homes.
Their pay was kinda low.
They offered me no benefits while I was there.
Some of the office staff were unfriendly and made me feel
like a burden when I came to the office.

Very unprofessional office unorganized and commits fraud!
Office Assistant (Former Employee), Colorado Springs, CODecember 4, 2013
Pros: paid trips to corporate, free coffee and lots of pot lucks
Cons: horrible management, horrible working system all together
The management is not great at all; everyone has no idea as to what their own title entails. When something is supposed to get done and is urgent its pushed away until it might become a legal matter or the office is about to get audited, and even then the managers try their best to hide incomplete paperwork or missing documents to prevent from being – more... shut down. God forbid if you don't drink with them on the weekends your not a part of the office click and left out on a lot of talk in the office. It was fun, but at the same time very unprofessional and negligent to important record keeping... there's so much more to say but will keep it short. – less

LVN (Current Employee), Dallas, TXMarch 14, 2013
I work with a 11yr old little boy who cannot speak and cognitively impaired. He is a happy little boy who always laugh and I enjoy taking care of him. My co worker is an awesome nurse and we communicate well with each other to provide the best care. The hardest part is the home environment , I don't feel its the best for his condition. I've learned – more... how to care for g buttons and administer meds through the button. – less

very flexible in placing you in jobs that fit your lifestyle and schedule
Pediatric Nurse (Current Employee), Phoenix, AZJanuary 29, 2013
Pros: appreciation acivities with free meals and prizes and continueing education.
Cons: if you are a big people person, the cases you work on can be very isolating.
This is actually my 2nd PT job and have worked for them multiple times over the years. They are a very caring and compassionate company to work for and go out of their way to try to meet their staff and clients needs. If you are going to be assigned to a pt with Dx you are not familiar with, they make sure you are given the knowledge that is needed – more... to fulfill the requirements of that position. They went out of their way to keep me working when I lost my FT job. I have never met a co-worker at MGA that I didn't like. The hardest part of the job is seeing these pediatric pts having to deal with dxs that don't allow them to live normal, full lives. It is hard when you get attached to your pt then you have to leave. The families of these children are wonderful, appreciative individuals that allow you to make their childrens lives better with our nursing care. – less
