This is a company where many join few stay because they either get fired or move on to something better.
The reason they move on is because their non sales staff is vastly underpaid. More responsibility doesnt mean more pay. If youre hourly that great but when you become a salaried employee you are nowhere near compensated to what value you are providing.
Management speaks out of both sides of mouth. They kept telling me we'll get you more help and they even offered to come and help but those were just empty words. Only once can I remember a person of management coming back to assist my staff when we became overwhelmed due to lack of staffing.
No rewards for doing your job. The company preaches their team mvp's and customer heroes but rarely did the logistics/shop team win even though we were the ones sacrificing our time to make sure all orders were processed and ready for the truck. Honorable mention every month doesnt add more dollars to the paycheck.
Completely sales centric. I understand that that's how a company makes money but when you treat your non sales team like the plague unless you need something it creates a schism. I can only remember a few times where a sales guy came down and thanked us for the job we did. It was more of an us vs. them mentality
Poor development of leaders, a 3rd of the leadership program I was in has left. No accountability from the staff who ran this program. Just a bunch of empty speak.
2 sets of rules for people. People who worked hard to get more done where punished more than the people who were just coasting through the day. Very apparent in the reclaim department.
Couldn’t hire people I could trust and not a consistent pay scale. You had people who had been with the company for years making less than people they just brought in who had less experience.
Poor hiring track record. My boss hired me(fired me) hired 4 of the people who worked for me(2 fired and 2 left for better jobs) and that was just on my team. They claim a low turnover rate but that would be a lie. In sales it's even worse.
I’d never use them nor will I recommend them. Owned by Xerox but yet we use HP and other machines not made by Xerox throughout the office. Customers must love to see that.
This job started out as a job that I loved and enjoyed. But as I became more ingrained in the culture and company ladder I realized that I was not going to be here for long. I knew I was quitting because I found something better or going to be fired and I was okay with that.
I achieved many of my goals and improved the department better than my boss had and maybe the issue was that I achieved success too soon but it's hard to get your employees motivated when the company says we'll take care of you and when bonuses and raises come around they cut or deny them fully.
If you want to cut your teeth then this company is great. If youre looking for a career then you'd be better off elsewhere.
