Do you work at Microsoft? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview? Any advice for someone trying to get in?

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Microsoft? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Microsoft?

I would like to know if Visa evaluation (for people working under a work visa) before the actual interview is common with Microsoft? My understanding is, companies ask for immigration documents after selecting the candidate for the job. Some one with insight please let me know. Thanks

As a MBA graduate, I wonder which company can provide a better career/life in the long run. Corporate finance job @Microsoft Beijing or financial analysis job @Citigroup Hongkong? Which one has better pay growth/promotion opportunities? Which one has better exit opportunities? Any commend will be appreciated, Thanks!

I was just curious : what is MS's general sentiment on bschool grad with not so conventional focus areas, like Information Process Management, or Information Systems etC?

For some reason I read all the bad reviews but yet I still want to do good during the interview. Any insights in what I should study beyond reading the Mount Fuji book, the programming interviews exposed book and going over my algorithms and data structures? It seems like I may be going into the Windows Phone 7 interview process, if there is such, and I want to know what to study. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I would like to apply for the Microsoft Exchange Engineer position but I do not have any certification but I do have an undergrad degree in Software and Information and master's degree in Information Systems Management. Does anyone think this is enough to get the job and get a chance to get certified? If there is anyone in the Charlotte, NC area that works at Microsoft and can offer me some advice and be a point of reference it would be greatly appreciated.

It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Microsoft? Any advice on striking the right note?
