Research Assistant, Washington, DC - September 25, 2014
Working at the MEI is a learning experience that I'll take with me wherever I end up in my career. While I mostly sit all day conducting research, MEI encourages interns and research assistants to attend various talks around DC, whether the institute has organized the event, or any other institute. This form of flexibility, allows me to learn something new everyday, and meet new people--which might help me find the next job opportunity. Co-workers, interns, and research assistants are all very friendly and at the same time serious about their work. Finding the right resources for the scholar is not always easy, it requires a lot of hours spent doing research and reading before finding a significant resource that my scholar find it relevant. Overall, I find working at MEI a great way to get to know people in my field, and the flexibility it offers is I believe how I can manage to do that.
