A typical day at van Buren Moody School was comprised of ;establishing classroom routines, teaching subject matter, managing behaviors, planning lessons, assessing students, collecting and evaluating data.
As part of my job, I had to serve on several committees. I sat on the Language Arts and Climate Committee. Third grade team meetings were also a requirement. Therefore, it was good that I maintained an excellent rapport with my co-workers.
The most enjoyable part of the job was always working with the children to see the joy in their eyes when they learned something. Also, developing a close bond with some of my co-workers helped make the work environment pleasant.
The hardest part of the job was administering the never ending assessments.
