Future of coal plants in question
Maintenance Planner, Will County Station (Current Employee) –  Chicago, ILFebruary 21, 2016
Day flies by do to the amount of work. Working with contractors and plant personal can be a learning experience!! My co workers and myself are in the same boat, so we need to work together, hardest part of the job is setting priorities for the work load. The greatest part is when everything comes together and the result is accomplished!!
Pros
Great people to work with.
Cons
Company reduced work force severly.

Compamy is converting from coal to gas so that is why we are being laid off. Otherwise it is a very satisfying job.

Performance Engineer Intern (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILJune 27, 2014
Value their employees and pay them well. People work together and help each other out. The focus is on getting the job done and keeping the power plants running.

Maintenance Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Joliet, ILJuly 22, 2013
Started out as a good company to work for, you learned about preventive maint. process, power plant equip. and lower level mgt. was a good group of people can't say the same for upper mgt. Hardest part of the job being in mgt. is separating workplace and friendship and trying to everybody somewhat happy. Most enjoyable was the rewards of the completing the work assigned safely and in reasonable amount of time.
Pros
401k
Cons
competative market

This is a great place for me to work. It is close to home and the compensation and benefits are great. However, there is a real chance of this place closing.
