This position is responsible for bookkeeping as a support role for our financial services division. This may also include some on-site travel to our clients throughout the Capital Region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains records according to generally accepted accounting principles, including recording of general journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, bank deposits, reconciliations, and other finance related support functions.
Travel to various client locations throughout Capital Region when needed.
Creating Management Information Reports as requested to support management functions.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
Two plus years of bookkeeping experience strongly preferred.
Previous experience with accounting software, specifically QuickBooks required.
Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices and procedures.
An exceptional track record of reliability, confidentiality, and conscientious work habits.
Proficient in MS Office, specifically MS Excel and Word.
Ability to work independently with little supervision and in a team environment.
Ability to organize and prioritize effectively, while working in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment with strict deadlines.
Attention to detail with exceptional level of accuracy.
Ability to interpret data and make cost effective decisions.
Demonstrate ability to deal directly with clients.
