Milestone was an excellent place to work! I was granted the opportunity to work with great people in a fun environment. Tons of employee-focused appreciation events.

Decent job- pay wasn't adequate
Independent Lead (Former Employee) –  San Jose, CAAugust 8, 2017
Would have to commute to many different companies for IT work.

The job itself was okay however driving to fill in hours and not getting reimbursed for parking or gas made the job not even worth it.

Milestone@Facebook IT Logistics Technician (Former Employee) –  Menlo Park, CAJune 13, 2017
The job itself was a good challenge with room to add more layers, the perks were nice, benefits were great, and the team worked fairly well together. Management was horrendous with indifference to individuals' feelings, ideas, and advancement. It was always their agenda regardless of anything else.
Pros
Pretty much anything but management

Great people, terrible management.
Helpdesk Technician (Current Employee) –  Chico, CAMay 18, 2017
While I've worked at this job for a while I must say that there is an utter disconnect between the managers, supervisors, and staff. It is a very friendly environment, but there are little opportunities for advancement unless you know someone higher up in management, and they have very little flexibility for your work schedule.
Pros
Friendly people, pool table.
Cons
Poor management, communication issues, senseless business decisions

Good place to work. Good customer base with which to work. Enjoyed the work, the customers, and the locations. Constantly a challenge was offered with many opportunities to succeed.

Did not like the commute times.

The thing that I would choose to mention of working for this company is the work ethic they follow. Timeliness of completed tasks, cleanliness of work area, self-confidence, desire to grow and honesty

Legal/HR Desktop Support Technician (Former Employee) –  Fremont, CAMarch 8, 2017
Milestone is a manage IT service provider.
All of my time was spent on the customer's work site.
They think highly of their employees.
Do not know what the Milestone workplace culture is because I never worked at the corporate headquarters.

Tier 1 Technical Support (Former Employee) –  Chico, CAFebruary 6, 2017
Employees who have worked here 2+ years are getting fired for made up reasons, while newer employees who are either completely incompetent or verbally absusive to the customers get to keep their job.

This place looks for any opportunity to fire you. You are just a number, they literally don't care what life circumstances happen, they don't accept doctors notes, and they also have an illegal use of their pto and cpsl.
The company also promises you a certain starting wage and then pays you less.

The second you get in to your shift, you're glued to your phone. You get in trouble by management if you sit there finishing your case notes for too long. If you are more than 1 minute late from a break you will get penalized. You will receive penalty for taking extra breaks as well during a 10 hour shift.
Basically this company has the feel of a high school or prison. It's all about popularity. You have to be super sweet and fake to even get noticed(or keep your job).

Milestone Technologies Data Center Technician (Former Employee) –  Forest City, NCJanuary 30, 2017
Milestone started off great but the management structure is a mess. They hire incompetent managers and expect senior Techs to take the advice of people who have no clue about what's required in the job.
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
Management doesn't listen to senior employees, make bad calls, no advancement options

Logistics Specialist (Current Employee) –  Altoona, IAJanuary 23, 2017
Benefits are so-so, PTO is minimal, very hard to move up in the company, no matter how hard you work. Promotions are based solely on popularity. I would not recommend to a friend.

Tier 1 Contact Agent (Former Employee) –  Chico, CANovember 1, 2016
If you plan on exercising your rights as an American worker, this is not the place for you. They don't like push back, and they don't like workers who know their rights. The management is terrible and they play favorites with employees when it comes to advancement opportunities, raises, etc.

It all depends on what account you're working on
Lead Data Center Technician - eBay/PayPal (Current Employee) –  Fremont, CAAugust 31, 2016
Milestone has many clients. So my opinion is solely based on the client I'm working with.

I think the company has a lot more to improve upon, but they're decent to work for.

What I do isn't unique but you do learn by tribal knowledge. There's practically no consistency, even though the client preaches that they want it.

The only enjoyable part of the job is working with only a few select co-workers.
Pros
Some co-workers
Cons
Management.

Shift Point of Contact/Tier 2 (Current Employee) –  Chico, CAJune 13, 2016
While this job does have a lot of good people to work with, advancement seems to be lacking. Management seems to want to hire recently hired employees for positions that employees who have been there longer are more qualified for.
The hardest part of the job is there is slack in the scheduling where it makes only one or two people in charge of supporting 150+ employees with the questions/issues that they have.
The most enjoyable part of the job is getting to work with awesome people.
Pros
game room, free snacks
Cons
Management issues

Help Desk Technician (Former Employee) –  Chico, CAJune 11, 2016
I found the typical workday to be long with the occasional breath of fresh air. I completely enjoy the people I work with but management does leave something to be desired.

The hardest part of the job is when I have to let the customer know that there is nothing that we can do to help them and to refer them to another source.

I have learned how to provide information in a good, bad, good format to ensure that there is a good ending to a conversation.

Not Sales or IT (Current Employee) –  Any LocationMay 15, 2016
Departments and locations vary, some are awesome, but not all are "great." However, I happen to be lucky and would recommend this employer if you are a hard worker. The pay isn't something to write home about, unless you are IT, Sales, or tied to a project and are in a management position. Regardless, you will be working for a minimum price. On the flip side, if money is your main goal than turn away now (unless you are in said departments- than it seems that you are able to negotiate pay more), if you are interested in developing your work profile, creating lasting relationships, having great benefits, a flexible schedule, and an ever changing daily life than this is the place for you.
Pros
People, Benefits
Cons
Some managers and the pay
