Millar Instruments develops pressure-sensing technology for catheters used in medical research, diagnostics and clinical treatment.

We are currently looking for a self-motivated and energetic Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. Candidates shall have a minimum of 5 years experience in the field of mechanical design and/or product development, preferably in the medical device or other regulated industry.

Job Summary

This position will perform functions to design and/or develop new or existing company products. Create requirement specifications to design and develop new or redesign existing components products to improve company business. Use design control to write verifications and validations. Create, compose and test protocols. Participate in and lead Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and/or product Defect Reports (DRs). Use Millar engineering design controls for project development.

Education/Experience to include

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
  • Five years of experience in the field of mechanical design, injection molding, and/or product development, preferably in the medical device industry or other regulated industries.
  • Software knowledge: MS Office Suite, SolidWorks, Auto Cad, manufacturing software, configuration management software.
  • Validation experience
  • Statistical knowledge
  • Knowledge of developing a product from concept to full production release, especially relating to catheter products is a plus.
