Great Place to Build a Career
Technical Support / Co-op (Former Employee) –  Jackson, MSJuly 30, 2017
Working for Miller Transporters, Inc. was an enjoyable work experience. There was not a lot of turnover and there was a wealth of knowledge available to learn. The days pretty much went by quickly due to having a lot of tasks to complete.

Good Company...On the surface
Dispatcher (Former Employee) –  Savannah, GAApril 28, 2017
At first glance and in the door it is a good company. Until you get into the depths. The environment they create and the focus they put on the P/L report causes a environment which makes the terminals within the company not cooperate with each other. I have never seen a company where there is so much hostility toward fellow employees. And the senior management turns a blind eye to everything that happens at the lower levels until they HAVE to get involved. The drivers are treated unfairly if you are a contractor.
Pros
Paid well, but they get their money worth out of you, good training, great safety department.
Cons
Stressful environment, poor leadership

Pros
Meeting helpful tractor trailer operators at designated stops
Cons

Respectful people, great atmosphere, compensation is very disappointing
Owner Operator (Current Employee) –  Jackson msApril 20, 2016
Some of the most respectful people I have worked for. Very laid back atmosphere and very safety oriented. There is to much sitting. You have to roll to make it in trucking and they don't keep you moving. You end up making less than a company driver and you're paying for a truck. The potential to do very well is here but so much is out of your control and you have to depend on dispatch to utilize and maximize your time to maximize your pay and therein lies the problem. I'm planning my exit!
Pros
Family atmosphere, management is respectful
Cons
Inability to help you be productive, away from home weeks at a time

Dispatcher, Savannah, Georgia (Former Employee) –  Jackson, MSMarch 18, 2016
Family owned business, with great reputation in the bulk chemical industry. Find that managers and dispatchers work separately instead of together, Goals are set by management. Terminal participation is as must to achieve,
Pros
Family culture.
Cons
Adequate training.
