About Minacs
Aditya Birla Minacs Worldwide offers BPO to big businesses. A provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) services, the company specializes in accounting and finance, customer care, knowledge and process, IT, and marketing. Services include managing customer relations through contact centers, managing application development and IT infrastructure – more... support, and designing creative and Web marketing campaigns. Clients come from the entertainment, financial services, manufacturing, and telecommunications industries. Aditya Birla Minacs has about 35 offices spanning Asia, Europe, and North America and provides services in more than 40 languages. It is a subsidiary of India-based Aditya Birla Nuvo.
The company opened an office in New Brunswick, Canada in 2011 to better serve its North American clients. It also moved its Canadian headquarters from Toronto to suburban Oshawa in late 2011.
Back in early 2010, Aditya Birla Minacs acquired Compass BPO Ltd, a firm with finance and accounting business process outsourcing expertise. The deal extended Aditya Birla Minacs's toehold across many global regions as Compass has operations in the UK, US, Middle East, and in India. A few months later, Aditya Birla Minacs bought the Bureau of Collections Recovery, an outsourced accounts receivables firm based in Minnesota. The purchase enhanced Aditya Birla Minacs's already strong debt collection capabilities in the US.
Aditya Birla Minacs was formed in 2007 when Minacs Worldwide merged with TransWorks Information Services. PSI Data Systems was renamed Aditya Birla Minacs IT Services (or Minacs IT) in 2009 and is the company's arm for providing outsourced IT services in the areas of application development, enterprise resource planning support, IT infrastructure management, migration, and product engineering.
Deepak Patel took over as CEO in September 2008 as Dev Bhattacharya stepped down. Before joining Aditya Birla Minacs, Patel was with BPO firm MphasiS. – less
