Responsible for identifying, organizing and implementing educational events. Also responsible to field/answer home care related member questions.
Budgeting and Programming:
Assists the Executive Director (ED) to determine annual educational budget and program goals. Responsible for meeting designated event and sponsorship budget targets. Works with ED to set pricing and fees for educational events. Manages and reports all educational event budget targets, projections and outcomes to the ED.
Coordination with Communications Manager:
The Education Administrator is responsible for writing basic educational event descriptions for the Communications Manger to edit. Works with the Communication Manager on proper marketing to ensure the attendance and success of all MHCA programs both online and in person. Communicates regularly with Communications Manger regarding status of events, is up to date on all programming for the website. Works with Communications Manager to enlist vendors and sponsorships for MHCA related events/programs.
Responsible for creating and hosting educational events both online and in person, this includes but is not limited to; webinars, conferences and educational live events. Negotiates event venues and contracts on behalf of MHCA and reports to ED for final contract approval and signature. Works with vendors and sponsors for all events and coordinates with the Communication Manager. Assists with setting pricing for events and fees associated educational events.
-Serves as staff liaison for designated Teams. Works with the teams to identify member educational needs, assists with but not limited to; securing presenters (if topic requires speaker), developing outlines for CE course approval and applies for all CEU’s for participants, coordinates with Communications Manager and team/s to promote and coordinate educational events.
-Provides educational updates to Communications Manager and ED to be reported out to the membership through various methods.
-Collaborates with partnering associations to provide dual educational opportunities for members.
-Answers member questions related to home health care and provides FAQ sections to the website for member reference.
-Tracks member questions and trends to identify educational topics.
-Coordinates with the staff for the design, content, production, and distribution of marketing materials for educational topics.
-Participates in Strategic planning annually. Responsible for items related to the educational strategic goals and budget targets.
-Participates in the Sponsorship plan. Actively recruits sponsors for events and works with Communications Manager to ensure sponsors are signed up.
-Travel as required.
-Assisting with all duties of the office staff as needed.
-All other duties as assigned by ED.
-Experience working in home health care.
-Proven ability to generate revenue through managing educational events and engagement of sponsorships.
-Excellent communications skills both written and verbal. Maintains the utmost professionalism at all times.
-Must have interpersonal skills, positive attitude, project management skills, strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to work independently and in teams. Willingness to be flexible and change directions at moments notice.
-Strong computer skills including Microsoft word, excel, power point and outlook.
-Ability to work with website design and uploading of information. Ability to communicate through social media and webinars.
-Nursing degree, RN, BSN.
-Experience with strategic marketing planning and implementation specifically related to home health care.
-5+ years in-depth the home care and hospice industry knowledge, ability to follow regulatory changes both at the State and Federal Medicaid and Medicare level.
-Ability to publicly speak and educate on home care and hospice related topics.
-Familiar with Minnesota geography and event placement options.
