This company was amazing to work for and workers absolutely take pride in what they are doing. The children that were being served were eager to learn and impacts were definitely made.

Ok for a starter job
TC (Former Employee), Saucier, MSApril 2, 2015
The pay is very low for a job that requires a degree, and gives you so many responsibilities. Most of the supervisors, administration, and CEO's have been amazing. The turnover is so high, mostly due to the hours, location, and pay, that it is hard to be very well structured.

Doing much needed work.
MYPAC THERAPIST (Current Employee), Olive Branch, MSJanuary 30, 2015
Pros: doing good work for a good cause.
Cons: work hours not fun, managed care, driving any and everywhere minimum 1-2 hrs a day.
The company as a whole is founded on very solid core principles. Management can be overly concerned with billable visits versus what the family may need. A family may be ready to transition out of a program and only need 1-2 visits a week, however the management will continue to push 3 or even 4 visits a week from the team. Co-workers are focused on getting work done, there is a struggle with team work sometimes. Hardest part of the job is not being able to go in the schools and provide therapy so your work life balance is off most days of the week. You will work till 6-7pm some nights. The enjoyable part of the job of course is the figuring out how to help the families be self sufficient and empowered to do better for themselves.

MONEY HUNGRY ORGANIZATION - FRAUD ALERT
Therapist (Current Employee), JacksonJanuary 30, 2015
Pros: working with family's
Cons: lack of support, pettiness going on, no support from upper management.
Where do I start… but RUN AS FAST AS YU CAN, especially the MYPAC program . This agency does not follow their core values at all.

Currently, the agency is requiring that all new cases we see 4x a week.. and the reason is because of the BUDGET. So, watch out medicaid they are trying to get over on you.

Often times the psychiatrist would recommend that the staff start to decrease the amount of times they see the family because the family is doing well and transitioning out of the program. However, the supervisor and upper management said NO, you have to continue to see the family 3x a week because of the BUDGET! The family's voice should come first and often times they are happy to see progress and not have to see the MYPAC staff as often… but then we tell them, NO we aren't allowed to listen to the psychiatrists recommendation, we have to continue to see you 3x a week.

It is impossible to see the family 4x a week due to family's busy schedule. The agency does not pay OT for the wrap facilitators, yet all of them work OT all the time, as well as, during their lunch time.

Therapist do not get OT and one supervisor may say you can flex and the other says no. The new positions they keep making for upper management is probably what is killing the budget… but the agency is abusing their financial resources and basically making their employees commit FRAUD.

Time to seek other opportunities.

it's not all that it seems.
n/a (Current Employee), Tupelo, MSDecember 29, 2014
Pros: your co worker's support
Cons: your feelings don't matter
Although some supervisors try and help, they really push the issue of billing and not family. They are quick to push the values that are on the back of your badge, but when it comes to your health, family, and welfare you are the least common factor. It's not the worst place, but it is on that list.

Pros: salary
Cons: long hours, unattainable expectations, no support from upper management, people don't care about each other..
Worst place I ever worked... Training is not timely. Might be on the job with expectations to perform the job efficiently for months before you are actually trained on what the expectations are. Horrible company to work for.

Wonderful place to work!
Child and Youth Advisor (Current Employee), Hattiesburg, MSSeptember 17, 2014
If you love children from all walks of life, this is the job for you. The management and co-workers are the best. This place is more like family, than a job. Couldn't ask for a better place to work, staff, or children. I would recommend this job to everyone.

Not Worth It
Program Specialist (Former Employee), JacksonMay 20, 2014
Pros: benefits, clients
Cons: long hours, no overtime, low morale, no teamwork
There's no teamwork & management will throw you under a bus. You cannot earn overtime or comp time. They do "flex time" which HR doesn't recognize. You have to use said time within 2 weeks. You are expected to work long hours.

DO NOT APPLY
Teacher counselor (Former Employee), TLC Saucier, MsApril 1, 2014
Pros: the kids will inspire you
Cons: no breaks, no life outside of work, once you hit your year mark they think "change" is best and will fire you, no questions asked.
I would never recommend anyone to work here. It is by far the worst job anyone could ever have. The administration is against you. They do not have your back and are worried about themselves. If you do not agree. You will get fired. They will use you to work because the turnover rate is unbelievable. You do everything you can to make sure the kids have what they need and no body cares. Run away from the place.

KEEP SCROLLING!! Worst place to work!
Teacher Counselor (Former Employee), Saucier, MSMarch 4, 2014
No one is safe here so if it's job security you want, do not waste your time! I had such high hopes for being able to work in a field that I LOVE and this place has all but ruined that for me. There is unethical, immoral and unacceptable behavior that takes place on campus by employees and the administration. If you call them on their terrible behavior and/or refuse to participate or condone it you will be fired. This environment is, in NO way, therapeutic to the residents or employees. The children that are supposed to be learning and growing there are hindered by a staff who's behavior is worse than theirs.

Cons: no one-on-one training!!!!!
This place is the WORST place I have worked for!!!! They cut my position after only 1 month without notice!!! Their training SUCKS and they are backstabbing!!!!! They give you this story about how good this place is, but at the end of the day, you are working LONG hours and dismissed after you have done all of their work for them!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!

Productive, great company to work for, great benefits
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee), Gulfport, MSOctober 21, 2013
Pros: great office hours, paid holidays off, personal days, sick days, great dress code, weekends off
Cons: temporary funded program
Typical day at work involved opening office , checking messages, starting fresh coffee for office staff, and perform work assigned.
What I learned here was how much a company could care about others including it's employees. Management was easlily accessible and easy to work with. Co-workers were very pleasant and also very easy to work with. The hardest part of the job was when the funding for the grant program ended and having to leave this job to start a new one. The most enjoyable part of this job was the environment I got to work in.
