About Missouri Bootheel Regional Consortium
Missouri Bootheel Regional Consortium, Inc. (MBRC, Inc.) is a non-for-profit (501c3) community based organization located in the southeast corner of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Missouri, commonly referred to as "the Bootheel" because of its shape. Our service area includes – more... the underserved Missouri counties of Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot and Scott. The primary mission of our organization is to strengthen, promote and empower families and programs. The core programs of MBRC, Inc. provide outreach, education, activities, training, targeted interventions and community mobilization services for mothers, fathers, children and families in the Bootheel.
MBRC, Inc. has been a major player for improving the quality of life for mothers, fathers, children and families in the Missouri Bootheel region for over 10 years. The core programs of Missouri Bootheel Regional Consortium, Inc. include the following: Healthy Start Case Management for pregnant women and infants one year and younger; Fatherhood First, which provides education to fathers and the community on improving the father-child relationship; and Saving Our Families, a faith-based program, which will focus on improving relationships. These programs support the organizations strategic goal that truly put "Families First".
MBRC, Inc. has a group of dedicated community volunteers which consist of the Regional Consortium and Local Councils. They provide educational health activities, trainings, and conferences to consumers and professionals in the five Bootheel counties.
