Extremely unorganized
National Account Manager (Former Employee) –  TexasNovember 5, 2017
The Company may put out a decent product but the sales organization is often its own worst enemy .

Mitel seemed to have trouble doing anything consistent

Company is overall ok to work for. They are going through a merger at this time and the future for individuals is currently questionable. The offices are relaxed atmosphere.

Good but not Great
Manager (Current Employee) –  Plano, TXSeptember 27, 2017
Mitel is a good company but is is having growing pains with integrating internal groups and getting them to work well together. Same as other companies, there are not enough resources for the work to be done. Customer focus is improving but old processes are difficult to revise and implement new.

Could be a good place to work under right department
Account Executive (Current Employee) –  Mesa, AZSeptember 2, 2017
Could be good under right department. Watched cut after cut, till finally my division was cut, even though extremely successful in producing revenue for the company.

Don't Work here
MiCloud Technical Support (Former Employee) –  Reno, NVAugust 30, 2017
Hired on for a 3 to 6 month contract, didn't get hired for 1.5 years. Started hiring new people at higher salary for same position. Constantly lies about pay increases. Management requests you lie to customers. I had two higher management members offer me a promotion, they stated that the pay increase is within 3 weeks to a month. Two days later I was told it wouldn't happen until minimum of 6 months even though I was working a higher position with new responsibility. Stressful work environment, too much work with not enough techs. Management strategy seems to actively overload technicians with anywhere between 30 to 40 tasks in any given moment.
Pros
Co-workers great
Cons
Management teams

Many Good Years, But....
Senior Manager of Training Delivery (Former Employee) –  Mesa, AZAugust 7, 2017
I worked at Mitel for many years and they were good years too, but the reason I stayed was because I loved what I did regardless of the company culture. I would just recommend that if you want to work here do your homework and see if Mitel is a good fit for you.
Pros
They support telecommuting
Cons
To many product in their portfolio

Business Review -
NA (Former Employee) –  Mesa, AZJuly 28, 2017
Overall , Mitel has gone through several mergers and still they are funnels of miscommunications at this company... The reason for staying has been the overall people at the business unit and hard working staff at all levels... Mitel is customer focus , however, employees are considered internal customers and not a focus at this time,,, Great benefits , however, pays below market... Has recently gone through a workforce reduction and is tough for staff members ..
Pros
Great Benefits, Great people
Cons
Pays below market

Account Executive/Outside Sales (Former Employee) –  New YorkJuly 20, 2017
Mitel is a well known brand. Sales primarily come through Channel Partners. Product development is lagging behind what you would expect from a Manufacturer. The company primarily grows through acquisition.
Pros
Brand Recognition
Cons
Gaps in Overall Growth Strategy and Implementation

Not what they appear to be
Senior Sales Executive (Former Employee) –  Mesa, AZJuly 20, 2017
Some of the local management personnel are great to work with. The Executives are out of touch and don't take care of employees. Their benefits are sub par, and they are making so many management changes at the top you never know if you're going to be laid-off or relocated.

Customer Support/Service/implementation (Former Employee) –  Reno, NVJuly 14, 2017
Good team members to work with but most struggle with a heavy workload. Periodic layoffs/reorgs which contribute to feeling of lack of job security.

Negotiate salary upfront because raises are minimal if any.
Pros
Dedicated people; occasional lunch celebrations, work from home ability for some positions
Cons
Work life balance difficult to maintain

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Reno, NVSeptember 3, 2016
This was quite possibly the worst company I’ve ever worked for. I was kept as a temp employee for over a year. When hired as a permanent employee, discovered the benefits are the worst. There is not any training for the employees. You either sink or swim. The customers are angry because their phone systems are lousy and the technicians that are supposed to work on them are rude to their coworkers and customers. It is a “good old boys club” for sure. If you are a woman, do not expect to get ahead or acknowledged for your efforts. The management is incompetent and ignorant. They are there only because it appears easier for the higher ups to not have to replace them.
Pros
It paid my bills for a bit
Cons
Unequal pay for women, rude coworkers and clients

Mitel/Mavenir employee values changed after acquisiton where experience and employment recognition of service were not important.
Senior Support Engineer (Former Employee) –  Mt. Laurel, NJAugust 23, 2016
During Ulticom years, work days were met with challenging issues, but management appreciated the dedication and experience gained to serve customers and internal departments better and more efficiently. Mitel/Mavenir acquired the products that Ulticom supported/created but did not carry the same appreciation to the experienced employees.
Pros
varying work day; appreciated by customers
Cons
lack of appreciation by management;
