Good job security, but looking for something more rewarding.
Document Control Clerk (Current Employee) – Monrovia, CA – February 18, 2015
Company is a great company that has been achieving some great things lately, as far as productivity goes.
The company is headed by some very bright and driven individuals. Individuals with whom I wish I could work with a bit closer. I don’t mean to sound negative, but the people working at the plant are almost all equipped with average mindsets. Nobody dreams or cares to think outside the box ever. And worse, when one does do this, one receives no encouragement or gratitude. Management tends to focus on the negative aspects of employees performance. Rather than rewarding them for their positive attributes. I know all this because I stand back and observe a lot of the goings on in this place. I am a problem solver, a natural born salesman with a drive and ambition that grows with each passing day. I have outgrown my position here and am ready for something more challenging and rewarding. Miyachi does not care to reward good work ethic and talent with advancement or incentives. They are happy paying mediocre wages to exceptional individuals. This is not a recipe for success.
However, I cannot say that my time here has been wasted. In the years I have spent here, I have learned much about the process of corporate sales and purchasing. As well as various graphic design functions. I have had the privilege of incorporating my love for photography (which I perform outside of the workplace professionally) into the job. For this, I am thankful.
The most difficult part of the job is having to deal with the average mindsets around me. The people who have accepted a mediocremore... life and expect you to do the same. There is no cap on human potential but the cap the human itself places upon him or herself. I was not born to shuffle papers my whole life. I have a greater purpose and I aim to fulfill it with all that I have. Nobody here seems to have the same sentiment about themselves though. And therefore, the environment does not contribute to my success or growth in any way. I feel that I am stagnant and unmoving here. That is why I must move on to something new and more rewarding. Something more fulfilling.
The most enjoyable part of the job is helping others get the job done well. We are all a part of a team and must work together.
Well, I hope that this tells enough about this company and my relationship and fellings toward it.
Solid company whose management takes care of its people
Field Service Engineer (Former Employee) – Monrovia, CA – June 25, 2012
Small company with a big heart. Management very accessible and HR actually listens and cares about what you have to say. Working here feels like working in a family environment. Engineering top notch and field service knows their stuff. You work hard but have fun as well.
