Pros: flexible schedule, choose the days you'd like to work, excellent pay, great management and coworkers
Cons: not enough opportunities to work, no benefits, long periods between jobs
Very easy to quickly learn the ropes. Very fun if you are knowledgeable about the products that you are representing. They give you plenty of tools to succeed and do well in your job.
Your job can range from exciting night life, being in the clubs passing out samples in fun outfits. Or more low key events in grocery stores or liquor stores. You are almost always guaranteed at least four hours when you do a promotion. However, you can go a month or two between events. It's a great second job or part time job for school.
You work in teams of two or three in club events and are usually on your own during events in liquor/grocery stores. They hire upbeat, friendly and social people so your co workers are usually all very friendly and exciting people. It's not hard to become friends with people you work with, there is no competition involved in this job, so everyone is able to work well with each other.
The hardest part is really not all that bad. It can be long hours that extend in to very late nights but if you enjoy being out at night it can be very fun. You are constantly on your feet and in club events which require high heeled, knee high boots. It can be very uncomfortable.
The best part about of the job is all the people you are able to meet, and connect with. Your co workers are usually fun to work with. You are very recognizable when you are in your branded uniforms and people are excited to be around you and meet you. I have had people want to take pictures with me, it's a lot of fun to play a role. Management is great. They want you to succeed and treat you as an equal, they are friendly, nice and very helpful. My manager was available, whenever I have needed her. Always willing to take my side if a client is difficult.
