It takes forever specially in the clinical lab mostly because they hold positions for as long as they can to save money and to find the employee they can manipulate. Doesn't matter how qualified you are, if you are management's BFF, you get hired.

I thought the hardest part would be the emotions of helping cancer patients. Turned out to be the favoritism and politics. Sadly, this shorts the patients.

Because poor management has changed the culture of the Cancer Center. Supervisors are not qualified and managers are even worse specially those that have been there for 30+ years. It's a dictatorship there. Don't bother getting a job there. You will end up being a casualty of poor management and favoritism (if you are not the favorite of cours).

People were always happy at Moffitt, the staff knew they were helping patients that had a dreaded disease and the pt were grateful for the compassion that was shown to them. It was a happy place in spit of the disease
