CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant, Litchfield, MN - May 11, 2017
A typical day at work I would get people up in the afternoon and toilet them. Making sure they have a dry pad on. Once they are in their wheelchairs, I would clean and groom them so they are presentable to visitors. At supper time I feed them. After supper I get them ready for bed by toileting them again and cleaning them up and getting them into their pajamas. What I learned as a CNA is you need to be a people person to do this job and you also need to have patience. The hardest part of the job is dealing with the dementia and Alzheimer's. The most enjoyable part of the job is who I work with and the cheerful residents.
