Job Description

The primary responsibilities of the VP of Digital Marketing is to build a Digital Marketing Team and execute integrated digital marketing programs that support the company’s key business objectives. The primary business objective of the Digital Marketing Team is driving high value leads into the Sales organization and nurturing those leads with insightful content until they convert into customers. These digital programs span the corporate website, display campaigns, marketing automation software, email campaigns, our social media strategy, best practices, and Search Engine Marketing (both SEO and paid Search). The VP of Digital Marketing is responsible for setting the strategy, determining the initiatives and metrics to support the strategy, creating the right digital programs, and measuring the effectiveness of our digital marketing efforts across the United States and Canada.

The secondary responsibility of the VP of Digital Marketing is to develop creative and copy based on our business strategy by engaging and employing internal and external resources while providing evaluation metrics and testing for said creative and copy.

This position is suited for individuals who have built and run metrics-driven digital marketing teams, are experts in Search Engine Marketing and are very analytical in nature. The ideal candidate is well versed in best of breed marketing and analytics technologies. The ideal candidate has worked in a fast-growing entrepreneurial atmosphere and rigorously employs multivariate testing to validate and quickly adapt marketing hypothesis based on maximum ROI generation.

This position will work closely with product development, sales, and operations

Responsibilities

Strategy: Collaborate with Senior Management to define the digital strategy for Mongoose Metrics that optimizes our digital execution, delivering on the company’s top goals and objectives. Solidifying the markets that we are focusing on, and establishing brand recognition. Provide strategic competitor analysis.

Execution: Drive new levels of integrated marketing across the various digital marketing initiatives to ensure our investments are generating maximum revenue return, and the performance is optimized.

Collaboration: Create an environment for cross department collaboration by working effectively with Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Product Development

Leadership: Set strategy, build and evolve a high performing team, and provide leadership within and outside of the group, representing the customer, partner and marketing as needed.

Analytics: Leverage data to make intelligent, informed recommendations and decisions regarding our digital marketing strategies, plans and investments. Use data to quickly pivot tactics and resources to strategies delivering the most value.

Process Improvement: Streamline processes for optimal execution and efficient time to market.

Measurement: Augment, refine and evangelize our measurement of success. Create best practices to streamline reporting processes and drive effective communications to get information to the right stakeholders in a timely manner.

Creative: Establishing and finding a resource for creative/design needs as well as copy creation.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Web Marketing, Social Media, and Search Engine Marketing (both organic and paid)
  • Deep familiarity with Web platforms, Social and Community Platforms, Analytics tools and engines, and CRM systems
  • Experience building and leading digital marketing teams
  • Strong process and workflow design skills
  • National marketing experience
  • Exceptional ability to lead, influence and work across organizational boundaries with a strong track record building excellent relationships with a broad range of peers and executives
  • Have a background and significant experience in a channel-oriented, enterprise software company
  • Highly Technical and analytical – IT, Web development or engineering experience a plus
  • Agile and able to adapt quickly, operating in a high growth business
