Monro puts little to no money out to advance their shops. No internet, a half crippled version of an operating system. Building falling apart, all they want you to do is oil changes. Antiquated equipment. They hire the cheapest techs out there. You will have little to no personal life working for them. Long hours, little pay. Medical benefits are bad. The staff is responsible for maintaining the building, like mowing the lawn, equipment maintenece, etc...
Not a good place to work if you’re just starting out the technician that have seniority get the jobs and new technicians get sent home early
Service Technician (Current Employee) – Avon Lake, OH – February 23, 2018
I’ve only worked there for a month so far and all’s I’ve been doing is oil and tires. If that’s what I wanted to do I’d go get a job at Walmart. I didn’t spent $2,000 on tools to be a lube tech. You don’t make good money if you’re new you have to be there for a wile to start having decent pay. It’s hard to make commission with everyone taking the good jobs because they have more experience or the manager gives them the jobs
Get paid no matter how busy or slow because it’s hourly
management sucks and they don’t care about anything but them
Store Manager (Former Employee) – Pittsburgh, PA – February 21, 2018
Great Company with room to grow and advance based on your performance. run your own store and make sales and take care of customers and your good. Dont do these things and as all companies would treat you, your not.
