Good place to learn about credit
Associate Analyst (Current Employee) – New york, New York – August 30, 2015
Moody's is a good place to learn about credit, although some of it depends on which analyst you are working for. Some analysts are willing to put in time to train but others are not and want you to figure it out on your own. The company needs a better training program.
The administrative work can be a burden. However, the culture is generally good (analysts sometimes get stressed and take it out on the associate), but the associates are enjoyable to work with and, from what I hear, it's a more relaxed atmosphere compared to other banks.
Typical day would include monitoring news for lead analyst, preparing documents for rating committee, and some administrative work. Good exposure to c-level and upper management of the companies covered (ex. phone calls, in-person meetings and emails).
